Notice of Co-employment

Purpose

This notice is to inform all worksite employees that Syndeo Outsourcing, LLC (hereinafter "PEO") is engaged ina co-employment relationship with your employer (hereinafter "Client").

What is Co-employment?

Co-employment is a contractual relationship between a PEO and its client, wherein the PEO assumes certainemployer responsibilities and liabilities for worksite employees. The PEO provides services related toemployment such as payroll processing, payroll tax administration, employee benefits, HR services, workers’comp coverage and claims management, compliance assistance and HR technology platforms. The Clientretains control over the day-to-day operations and supervision of worksite employees.

PEO Responsibilities:

  • Payroll and Taxes: The PEO is responsible for processing the payment of wages to worksite employeesand the withholding, collection, and payment of payroll taxes from wages paid to worksiteemployees.
  • Employee Benefits: The PEO may provide and/or administer employee benefits, including healthinsurance, retirement plans and other welfare benefits.
  • Workers' Compensation: The PEO may provide and/or administer workers' compensation coverageand handles related claims for worksite employees.
  • Compliance Assistance: The PEO assists with compliance related to employment laws andregulations.

Client Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Supervision: The Client retains control over the daily tasks, supervision and direction ofworksite employees.
  • Worksite Safety: The Client is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment incompliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
  • Operational Control: The Client manages all operational aspects of the business and makes alldecisions related to the business.

Rights and Obligations of Worksite Employees:

  • You are considered an employee of both the PEO and the Client for different purposes.
  • You will receive a W-2 form from the PEO for the purposes of reporting your wages and taxes.
  • Your employment relationship, including at-will status, is maintained with the Client.
  • All employment-related inquiries, complaints or issues should be directed to your on-site supervisor,on-site HR Department or the designated PEO representative.
