Todd Matheny, CPA

Todd Matheny is the vice president of finance/chief financial officer at Syndeo. He was born in Illinois and raised in Plano, Texas. He attended Harding University in Arkansas where he received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in accounting. While working at Arthur Andersen in the audit and assurance division, Todd completed all of the requirements to earn his CPA certification. Todd spent several years pursuing other interests in business development for various companies over the next several years in Kansas and Texas prior to starting with Syndeo in 2010.

Todd has served on the NAPEO Accounting Practices Committee since 2014 helping to promote the PEO industry and support other PEO members of NAPEO. He was named a 2015 Wichita Business Journal CFO Award Honoree and has been an active member of Vistage for several years. Todd is also involved in Project Seed, a student mentoring program at Urban Preparatory Academy in Wichita, and is part of the board of directors for Heartspring. He enjoys keeping up with the growth and change in the Wichita community.

When not at work, Todd enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids, traveling, sports, camping, reading and helping small farms and businesses with their tax planning and reporting. Yes, taxes for fun!
